3. Tom’s Wall
Tom’s Walls is the 3-to-5-foot-high wall and is the largest rock wall in the United States and the largest monument to an American woman. Exploring this unusual site is definitely one of the best things that you can do almost freely.
There is an amazing story behind the creation of Tom’s Wall. In the late 1830s, native Americans were forcibly ostracized from the eastern part of the US, and they were moved to the west part. Her real name was Te-lah-nay which means “Woman with Dancing Eyes.” Later, Tom as a grown person wanted to do something special for his warrior ancestor.
